Foresters
Riley Creek has assembled a team of professional foresters who apply farming principles to improve growth through selective harvesting, fertilization and by caring for the land so that it will thrive in perpetuity. Our foresters are dedicated to responsible timber management.
Not only do they respect nature, they respect their clients. They embrace the latest technological advancements and apply them diligently.
Production Team
Our production team is a dedicated and talented group who view their time at Riley Creek as more than punching a time clock and collecting a paycheck. Simply put, they are overachievers.
We view our production facilities as a campus, where we work and learn every day. For example, our graders have consistently received the Western Wood Products Association's High Q Award for excellence of grading. To earn this award requires that graders are certified in the product they produce, and must maintain a precision of better than 5% of grade, all the time.
We also use a Green Grader program to further increase the quality of our lumber during the process. Each sawmill machine center operator is trained to make production decisions based on visual evaluations of the lumber.
Not only are Riley Creek employees good at what they do, they are an integral part of improving production and making our mills safer places to work. We have created numerous committees and programs that foster employee input across all levels of the operation. We feel our products are only as good as our people.
Sales Team
Every day we are faced with a growing or shrinking but certainly changing marketplace. Riley Creek has a knowledgeable and proactive Sales and Marketing Team. Because our goal is to develop long-term business relationships with our customers, we can react to the fluctuating marketplace quickly.
